Reverse Waterfalls & Real-Life Exhaustion

Today’s card was Chiromancy, but honestly? I was far too tired to think about fate, health, or money. All I could think about was sleep—sweet, unreachable sleep. The boys fell asleep before it was time to move them to the camper, so we let them stay inside last night. Meanwhile, Andy, Aria, and Sephy decided they were going to stay up all night, and Xay wasn’t far behind.

By 2 AM I was up… and then every thirty minutes after that until I finally said “forget it” and got up for the day. Some mornings start early—this one never really ended.

I got breakfast cooked for everyone and knocked out the morning chores before helping Charlie rotate the dogs. Once the kids were fed, we put on their usual morning school videos. Well—most of the kids. Xay opted to sit in the room and throw a fit for half the morning before finally eating and settling down. By the time we finished our leaf pictures, he had come around a bit.

After that it was ice cream mini puzzles, then bagel pizzas for lunch before nap time blessed the house.
While the kids slept, Charlie stayed busy rearranging kennels again. Bingo moved into a larger one, Jack got Bingo’s old spot, and Sally moved into Jack’s so the three smallest pups have more room to grow. At this point I honestly need a bigger house or some sort of expansion pack for real life.

Once nap was over it was right back into school. Andy and Xay had a rough start—they weren’t feeling it—but the rest jumped right into imagination play with an ice cream truck game that had everyone giggling. Then we moved into our India packet and learned about reverse waterfalls, which absolutely floored some of the adults. It still sounds like magic even when you know the science.
We wrapped the day with a bit of our fish packet before rolling into dinner and then bedtime.
By the time the house finally quieted down, we were all exhausted—completely spent. I know I’m going to sleep hard tonight. Chiromancy didn’t have much to say about my fate today, but my palms definitely tell one story clearly: I need a long nap and maybe a vacation.
