From Chaos to Clean Counters

Last night was rough. Aria had an accident, and just as I got her cleaned up and back in bed, she needed to pee again five minutes later. I managed to lay back down for about an hour before I was up and moving again. This morning’s card was the Whip, which matched my mood a little too well — sharp, tense, and already stretched thin.

The girls were fed, dressed, and in their room by 8:40, watching TV while the rest of the house looked like a construction zone. We wrapped up their ice cream packet and dove into the India packet next. We made a cyclone in a jar and worked through the worksheets, which kept them surprisingly focused.
By nap time, I had knocked out the bathroom, Cain’s room, and the hallway. Dameion was on his way to grab a second bucket of paint. Franklin had started dogs, and Charlie was working on the altars.

Once nap time ended, Dameion was back painting and I finished the living room before heading into the kitchen. The girls cleaned up their room and waited for me so I could run the floor cleaner and bug spray. After that, they went back to doing their India coloring sheets.

By dinner, they had finished their whole India packet and moved on to their fishing packet. We got halfway through that after dinner and still managed to be ready for bed by 6:30.
Once the girls were asleep, Charlie and I wrapped up the kitchen. It’s finally clean and organized — the kind of reset we badly needed. After that, we headed to bed too, ready to wake up and do it all again tomorrow.
